If you have a telecom program which you can run on one of your Apple II's,
you can use standard NULL modem to transfer .shk files from PC or Mac to the
Apple II. For information about NULL modem transfers see ...

http://home.swbell.net/rubywand/Csa2T1TCOM.html#004 .

One of the first files you transfer should be ShrinkIt. On the Apple II,
you can use ShrinkIt to unshrink .shk and .sdk files. You can get ShrinkIt from
A2MG or Ground ...

http://members.aol.com/A2MG/dl.html
ftp://ground.ecn.uiowa.edu/2/apple2/useful.stuff/

For information about getting and using ShrinkIt see ...

http://home.swbell.net/rubywand/Csa2FLUTILS.html .

For NULL modem transfers, the choice of which computer to use may be
limited. Since the IIe is not enhanced, you may have to use the //c.

If you do not already have an Apple II telecom program, you can use a
package called "ADT" to do transfers from a PC to your Apple II. ADT lets you
transfer disk image files and convert them to diskette on the Apple II. There
is a good collection of .dsk disk image files (including telecom programs) on
Ground at ftp://ground.ecn.uiowa.edu/apple2/useful.stuff/Disks/ .

You can find ADT v1.22 on ACN Florida or ACN Tarnover (when it's back
on-line) or USA2WUG ....

ftp://24.96.48.134:6502/Cabi_Archives/Applications/Telcom/
ftp://tarnover.dyndns.org/cabi/Applications/Telcom/
http://www.grin.net/~cturley/USA2WUG/Utilities/

For information about using ADT see
http://home.swbell.net/rubywand/Csa2T1TCOM.html#003 .

The //c or the IIe with Super Serial Card should work fine with ADT.

You can find the 8-bit Merlin on one of the ACN sites mentioned above in
the Programmers' Archive area in the Languages.Programming/ folder.

You can get some harware information about these computers at
