Are you sure about that?  The SuperDrive card has a read buffer and
reads the entire track in one pass, so it doesn't matter what interleave
you use for reading.  My personal experience with the SuperDrive is that
there is no measurable difference between 1:1 and 2:1 for reading.

The real problem is writing.  A 1:1 interleave disk in a SuperDrive
writes well under half the speed of a 2:1 interleave disk.
