I no longer have the parallel card. I sold it and the parallel printer after I
wrote the DeskJet newsletter. The parallel printer was satisfactory, but I
couldn't wait to go back to the old (serial) DJ500. Since the speed didn't make
any difference, I didn't mention it in the article at all. I don't consider it
an issue and would recommend serial if it is available, for 8-bit programs
which require no external driver (AppleWorks, ProSel, Basic). I can't comment
on IIGS-only programs.
