Well, Bev, if you still have a DJ connected to the IIGS serial port, I have
one connected to a parallel card. I think it would be educational if we did
compare the times it took to print a page.

As it is, my statement about parallel being 4 times faster than serial is
based on tests timed by a stop-watch, but, it was with GS/OS based software.

In order for the test to be valid, we'd have to have printers with the same
speed rating (mine is 4 ppm) and GS systems that run at similar speeds (mine
is at 7 Mhz).

If the document printed was the same length, I think the comparison would be
valid. 

I'll be back in a few minutes with my results...
