Mr Cornelio,

While in the RamFast SCSI utilities click on the Zip Drive
hi light the Zip drive & press return.
Check the active column for the Zip drive make sure it has
a Y for active. Use the right arrow key to move the cursor
over to the active column for the Zip drive & press return
to change it to Y for active. Some of the partitions of the
hard drive may have to be turned off so the Zip drive will
have a slot setting under ProDOS 8. After the Zip is active
quit the utilities & go back to the main menu & click on S to save
the settings. Hard drive slots can be changed from the main menu.
Click on the drive name & slot it is set to, move the cursor
to slot & drive number you want it changed to & press return.
Always remember to save the settings by clicking on save at the top
of the main menu screen. The ability to reassign slot & drive numbers
allows you to boot from a another partition.

Under ProDOS 8 slots for hard drives counting the 5.25 & 3.5" floppy are
limited. That is why the Ramfast is a great SCSI card because you can
unmap volumes that show up in the main menu of Ramfast Utilities.
Whenever you need to access a volume that is deactivated, just unmap a
volume you do not need & activate the one that you need. A large hard
drive on a Apple IIGS formatted ProDOS & booted using GSOS will cover
the GS desktop with hard drive partitions 32k limit for ProDOS & GSOS.
Being able to turn them off or unmap them is a handy feature.
