Apple lle typing out garbage.....

I need some help....my Apple lle has gone bonkers........each time I type
any letter it's not appearing as the letter I type e.g if i TYPE "J"  "H"
appears if I hit return key...a "?" ........it's all gone haywire.......but
the strange thing is after about 20 to 30 times I type the same letter then
it appears once ( the original letter i type) then it goes back to it's
faulty old self

Can anyone tell me what is actually wrong? Is it the keyboard rom chip has
gone faulty or something else on the motherboard or the keyboard it self?
