PC to A2 Protocol Xfers

I am having some problems transferring files between my Dell 200mh
Pentium and my Apple //e.

My setup:

Apple //e

Apple Super Serial Card
Proterm v2.1
Null modem cable

Dell XPSP200S

Win98
Hyper Terminal  (As shipped w/Win98)
Direct (Null Modem) Connection

I am able to transfer files, but no matter what configuration, speed,
protocol, or COM port settings, I get what I would think are way too
many errors and retries. I just moved a 500kb file and out of about
3200 blocks moved, I had 25 or so errors/retries.

With a good direct connection with no more than a 10 foot serial
cable, I would think it would be almost perfect copy.

Anyone know the secret?
