Thanks for the kind words, Michael, and a belated happy birthday!

I'm still reading the group and chipping in from time to time, but I
haven't actually used an Apple II to any significant degree since about
1996, when I got my first Mac.

Absolutely no chance of understanding the Mac to the degree that I did
with the Apple II (particularly the IIe), but I picked up enough to be
able to provide a significant degree of help to Mac users as well. In
fact, I'm off to my user group's help desk this afternoon (four tutors
plus seven students covering a variety of Mac learning or technical
issues).
