What type of card is this?

Can't figure out what type of slot card
this is. It came in a Apple IIGS I bought at ebay
in a Apple parts package. The name on the front of the card is Corvus
Systems INC Transporter Apple 8010-08011 Rev. E There is a 8 position
DIP switch
Top left corner is a 3 pin jumper like the one on the 1 meg Apple Memory
Expansion Card. There is also a male connector like the ones used in
automobiles & on speakers, a crimp on type of connector, one of the
standard types.
Does this card require software?
