ProDOS 2.0.3 and No Slot Clock
Hi
I have already gotten some assistance here on the newsgroup. I have
recently resurected my Apple //e Platinum and it still runs fine. My
Sider hard drive still has ProDOS 8 Ver 1.8 running on it, patched for
the SMT no-slot clock.
I wanted the latest ProDOS so after asking here, I have ordered ProDOS
System Disk 4.0.2 from Byte Works. I understand this comes with ProDOS
8 Ver 2.0.3.
My problem is my no-slot clock. I have a patch to the clock driver to
fix it for ProDOS 2.0.1, but no later. Mike of Byte Works tells me
that there is a clock patch file on the system disk but I'm wondering
if that is just a ProDOS patch or relates to the NSC.
Does anyone have any experience running a NSC with ProDOS 2.0.3?
I understand that there is a system file somewhere that eliminates the
need to patch ProDOS at all, but I have been unable to find it on the
net.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Ed
