True.

There will *always* be 8kB machines with 4MHz clocks and three I/O lines.
They'll just get smaller. Eventually we'll be programming nanomachines,
but they'll still be there. 

It works like this: a simple embedded system costs X currency units. A
technological advance is made. For that same X c.u., you can now get a
much more sophisticated system. *But*, you can now produce the same system
you had before for X/2 c.u.
