Have you ever tried upgrading a Compaq?  Compaq won't sell you a motherboard
upgrade.  You have to buy an entirely new box.  They also use non standard
hardware for mounting any internal hardware.  Meaning you're forced to either
use their own overpriced mounting kits.

Compaq does make very good PC systems.  But they are not as open as most people
might think.
