Ok, no problem.  I resorted to plan B.  I created a 1 MB hard disk partition
and installed GS/OS 6.0.1 onto it.  It does indeed fit.  I have 370 blocks
to spare (well, really only 366 since I need the top 4 blocks for ROM code).
Do I need any other toolbox tools or anything else to make a useful boot
drive?  Is the 'easy install' a useful system?  I seem to recall that a ROM
1 GS is missing some toolboxes that prevent some games from running.  I
would like this to work since I have had several requests for the ROM-Drive
to boot GS/OS.  It would be especially good in a school setting so you
wouldn't have to worry about kids messing with the system.  For a home user,
I assume it would boot significantly quicker than a hard drive.  There's no
need to wait for the SCSI system to initialize drives with this the access
time is in the nanoseconds (ok, a couple thousand making it more than a
microsecond -- but not bad).  Once this is all figured out, I just need to
modify the code I wrote to copy blocks to a file.  I wrote a utility similar
to dsk2file back in 1992 for the first emulator I ran across.
