Actually, I think something was just loose. After fiddling around and
re-inserting cards, it started working. Maybe there was a dirty contact or
seomthing...

Well, not sure where it ended up, but there was only one slot it would
work in (the cable lining up with the CPU socket)...I think it was 4.

Well, the sockets are all filled...with strange upright chips I don't
really recognize.

Hm...Well the GS-RAM I have now has always been in there and working so
that wouldn't be a problem, but...what is the increments of chips to use
to make it 4m? I think...it's 1.5 right now...

It's so very small...for some reason I almost find the larger GS-RAM
seeming better, even if it isn't. Well, I have yet to see just how much
memory the card has, so I'll have to see. And besides, not really in the
mood right now to spend more money on the GS...

Perhaps, but my only available SCSI drive is 20mb and happily in a
20SC...hooked up to the IIgs. Maybe I'll mess with it more, dunno. Could
the card itself be dead?
Oh, and thanks for your help...
any input on that Echo commander card, anyone?
