At some point you have to decide if you really want that zip card or fast
SCSI card before you hit middle age and lose interest. If I KNOW I can
sell one on ebay for $30, don't plan on getting one a lot cheaper from me.
Ebay is an easier, cheaper sale to make, just list, wait, answer one or
two inquiries, then details at the end of the auction, get the check and
ship. Sell through a newsgroup and it often includes a couple hours of
support before and after the sale.

Some items I am going to be patient on and wait until one turns up at the
swapmeet etc. With others I accept the commodity status and pay the going
rate.

BTW I paid over a couple grand for my first Apple II, $1700 for a 400k
solid state floppy drive, and $5700 for a printer for it. $25 now for some
neat part doesn't make me too dizzy.
