If memory serves me correctly, this is just the other 64kb of RAM provided by
the 80-column card.  Since it is so small, it is not of great value.  But I
suppose that it could be useful for copying small files between diskettes, if
you only have one drive.  Also, RAM drives are great when downloading stuff
in Kermit.  Things seem to timeout when using the 5.25" floppies.  (This is
all stuff that I have done with 1Mb expansion cards.)

I think that programs will unmount the drive if they actually use the other
memory.
