I am not sure if these things exist (though I stumbled across an external
5.25" Apple drive which looked too Macish for the Apple II series, at one
time).

If you have a serial card, I can suggest ADT.  I have a working archive with
the Macintosh executable for request by e-mail.  Otherwise, I can only suggest
looking for somebody with an Apple II with a 3.5" and 5.25" floppy to transfer
the data over for you.
