One thing I've done once or twice by accident which does delete (in a
sense) and does involve a progress bar as well, is copying something with
the same name as an existing file on a drive. Yes, you do have to press ok
but I know many of us just hit that return key anyway. And then go "Ack!
no no no no no no" as the progress bar fills. Or at least I have known a
few to do it other than me. But it sounds as if you did everything right
IMO.
