The first time Ryan used one of my posts in The Lamp! he e-mailed me
to ask for permission and while he was asking also asked if I would
prefer to be asked each time for permission or if I would rather just
give him permission to use any of my future posts.  I gave him
permission to use any of my future posts so that neither of us have to
go through the bother of e-mailing each other every time (which seems
to just about every month) and so that I don't hold up the release of
The Lamp! while he waits for me to give him permission.

Are you sure you didn't get this kind of e-mail the first time he used
one of your posts and you gave him the blanket permission?  If not,
please contact Ryan, I'm sure he'd like to get it all sorted out.
