Howdy James!
A programmer was working enthusastically on a program called FaceLift
which would have addressed some of the system software issues with the
Second Sight. When it came right down to it, he needed the assistance of
Sequential Systems to complete the project. Unfortunately, the folks at
Sequential showed no interest in cooperating with him to make the Second
Sight work better with the IIGS.
There may have been other issues in stalling FaceLift development, but I
believe the Sequential roadblocks were a key component.
That said, I don't know that the porgrammer has given up on, but is
certainly less engaged in the project than he once was.
