Wouldn't the URL:

<http://www.deja.com/msgid.xp?MID=%3C19990730151256.20391.00000202%40ng-ch1.aol.com%3E&fmt=text>

be more efficient?  That gets the whole article in plain text without the
Deja.com graphics around it.  It retrieves it by its message-ID which
should never change.

But remember:  Deja.com still has facilities for removing articles from
their database upon poster/copyright holder demand.
