If the 1084 is the Amiga's monitor (not the C64's) then yes...

The 1084 works great on the IIGS!  Better than the Apple monitor
because you can connect the IIGS sound output (which was way
superior to the Amiga 1000's stock sound chip) to the monitor to
get better bass.  However, the picture quality of the original GS
monitor, while not sharper, has a bit more vibrant pictures.  The
1084 is a little larger though.  And you should use the RGB input
of the 1084.  If you use the composite input, then you will NOT
get any better results than you get from your TV.  Composite=TV.
RGB=the way to do IIGS and Amiga video.
