Good experiment; but, it won't solve the problem of Text mode corruption from
http sites on servers which do not recognize A2 filetype endings. (The http site has
to maintain the file with the ".bin" or other standard PC suffix.)

The reason that I suggested going to
ftp://24.96.48.134:6502/Cabi_Archives/Applications/ and downloading the file
SelectorSTARTUP.shk is to make it possible to guarantee that you have a good .shk
file to transfer. If SelectorSTARTUP.shk arrives on your PC with a length of 1486
bytes, you can be pretty sure it's a good download.

This is a good file to use for testing your transfers. It is short enough to be
transferred quickly; and, you can easily tell whether the received file has the same
length as the original on the PC.

The current version is v3.4. You can download it in self-extracting form from
http://members.aol.com/A2MG/dl.html . This site also has directions for using the
file once it is transferred.

Supertimer mentioned the problem with using Text (or ASCII) protocol for file
transfers. If you have been transferring files to your IIc+ as Text, then _that_ is
almost certainly the reason your .shk files are corrupted.

Your IIc+ and PC should be set to use a binary protocol such as X-modem.
