What exactly do you mean by "works on a network"? I take it you mean an
application which can be installed onto a file server and launched
simultaneously on multiple IIgs machines.
Quite a lot of IIgs applications are able to operate this way. The most
common problem is if the application expects to have write access to its
own volume, and/or uses some kind of preferences file which is located
either with the application or in the system folder (for network
booting), without using distinct filenames for each workstation using
the application.
There is also the issue of licensing: most application licenses only
allow one copy of the program to be active. You would have to pay for a
multi-user license to allow the program to work on a file server.
In any case, there are only two native spreadsheets for the IIgs:
AppleWorks GS, and Quick Click Calc (from Byte Works). I haven't used
either of them for several years, and I've never tried them on a
network.
