OK, you're in luck. You can download the ProDos software from Apple's
software archives. Format some 800K ProDos disks and use DiskCopy to
transfer the disk images to floppy. Then you can go to one of the
archives and download binscii, shrinkit, and other utils which you'll
need for extracting archives. Get the Apple II faq which explains all
this. Rubywand has the faq at his website:

As far as comm software, I use a shareware program called Agate which
has Zmodem. Most of the other downloadable com programs don't. Get it
here:

Having been thru all this fairly recently, I can tell you that it can be
complicated to get all this working. Binscii is a text file that can be
executed, just follow the directions. Use that to extract Shrinkit,
which will make everything else much easier. Another big problem is the
Mac forking the files you download, and changing the "type". Read about
how to get around that in the faq. Good luck, and be patient and
persevere. At least you have a IIc+, which makes this a lot easier than
doing it on an Apple II with only 5.25" drives. Another thing is check
out thrift shops, they often have boxes of old Apple II software. Dig
around for some boot disks and utils such as DiskCopy II Plus, etc.
