GS/OS cannot be stripped down to run of a 5.25" disk. It can be very
difficult to strip GS/OS down enough to be able to get one program
installed on an 800k 3.5" disk. A 1 MB ROM disks would just mean you
wouldn't have to strip things down quite so much.
At present my GS/OS System folder is around 10 MB what with all the
extras I've added. The problem with putting GS/OS on a ROM disk is
that you lose the ability to add or remove those extras.
If I were you, I'd stick to making it ProDOS 8 bootable if you really
want it bootable and/or just use it to store your most used
application(s) that don't need to write configuration info back to the
folder on the ROM disk.
Just my 1 cent worth (due to the exchange rate :).
