To dismiss the problem as emulation being the cause is a bit premature.
What version of the system software are you trying to run Star Trek from?
Does that version of the system software have all the Tools required by
the game? Like someone else asked, how much RAM have you allocated to
your virtual IIgs. I remember that Star Trek used to crash a lot for me
when I tried it back in the early 90s on my real IIgs...
