Hi. I am disappointed to hear that my post was only seen as a "feeble"
attempt at humor. Your mention of me trying something new has given me new
spirits, though. :-) After very little thought, I think I'll try to be
less funny and more helpful from now on.
After seeing the subject of "Old beige", I was hoping to find a post of
perhaps someone reminiscing on their beige Apple II, but found yet another
Macintosh related post. As I have been reading the Apple II newsgroups for
around 2 years off and on, I have already passed the stage of "it's getting
old" and have gone to "it's irritating" as it relates to finding off-topic
posts, especially Mac ones. I want to read about Apple II's in CSA2, not
other stuff. When I post to a group that I am not a frequent reader of, I
check out several posts and often ask if a topic is appropriate for that
newsgroup before posting, if I am not sure. I think I shall include this
last bit in future "point them in the right direction" replies to the
newsgroups.
Thank you,
Jason Whorton
