Stylewriter & GS ??

Okay, question y'all...

I recently found a StyleWriter (model M8000) at a thrift cheap, and
have put it on my GS, and plopped in the Stylewriter driver found on
the FTPs.  It'll feed a page through when software tells it to print,
but it isn't printing.  [ProTerm:  just runs the paper through.
SuperConvert:  Runs the paper through then gives a Printer Abort error
onscreen.  Teach:  Says to check the port and cable, etc., does not
push a paper through.]  Is there something I'm missing or doing wrong,
or is trying the StyleWriter with my GS a bum issue, or is this printer
just wonky ergo it was in a thrift?  I see nothing about it in the FAQ
so here I am...

And yes, I found the test function that prints the diagonal lines and
blocks (is there a regular ABCEDEF... test?) and I do have ink.  :)
