self-test GS /scsi

My home GS performs fine w/ one problem -- I have never been able to get
SCSI card to work. System crashes if installed in slot 4 (7 has Focus)
In slot one it will read, but I can NOT copy anything more than 800k w/o
getting a "disk damaged" error. This is true of 2 different SCSI cards.

So I disable the accelerator & run self test: "system bad" :-(

Is there anything else that could cause this msg?  I can move all
internals to another CPU I have -- but --- in all other respects it
performs great.

Plus: I recall trying at least one of the SCSI cards cards in another
machine several months ago w/ the same results. FWIIW the zipdrive is  ID
5 and termination on -- when I any other variation, the GS will hang
before fully booting.
