One of your Buggie Power Supplies offers a fairly quick, easy solution.
You do have to find a good, safe place for the external PS; but, in return, you
remove a major source of heating inside your IIe and acquire a nice chunk of
space you can use for further enhancements-- like, maybe, a larger speaker with
amplifier module or internal hard disk.

I use my extra space to store cards requiring cables connected to the back that
are not currently being used on the slot-poor Apple II. The Apple II has a
multitude of opennings in the back of the unit, so this saves a lot of time
when I need a card that I don't use everyday, such as a Quickie Scanner.
Just power down, pull out the Echo II and replace it with the Vitesse card and
power back up.

I've thought of setup, such as putting in a small video camera for playback
through Video Overlay Card.

How about all that extra room being used by a new type of RAM card for the IIe
to get past the one meg. limit we currently have to put up with?
