Re: Efforts to provide SoftDisk back Issues for the Apple II and IIgs

rubywand@swbell.net promptly responded to my info request as follows - to which
I reply:

"It's a multi-player Santa Paravia type game called "Saxe Palatin".
Our gaming group got into SP eons ago and, over a few hundred gaming
sessions, the thing has been re-written numerous times to speed up play,
add or delete features, etc.. The main reason for selling it to Softdisk
was to get it 'out' and into circulation. (So, naturally, Softdisk ceased
publishing A2 stuff like a month after getting it.)"

A Santa Paravia re-write eh? Yes, I know the game well. I've researched it
all the way back to it's original author, who placed it into public domain -
years and years ago, when it was just a DOS 3.3 release to many of the A2 BBS's
of days, years and decades gone by. When Prof. Zap converte it to ProDOS and
added some stable codes to it about 5 years ago, I got it from him and was
really impressed with the logic, training and social skills one could obtain
from just playing this game.

I'll be sure to ask the powers-that-be at SoftDisk about allowing this one for
a release to the public. Jeff, please DO send me your most current update of
Santa Paravia - that you have on hand. I seldom play games but, this game - I
would love to spend a weekend in the country playing. I'll be looking forward
to seeing it.

Cheers,
Tom
