These aren't all that scarce. Apple sold 'em for $500 to anyone with a //e
and didn't want to spend the full grand to get a IIgs. But they weren't overly
cost effective when you threw in a mouse and drives etc.

I have one complete upgrade box plus the metal bottom for another in the
original upgrade box. Even better, I have a never used //e case top meant
for people upgrading really early //e's which had the old case style that
the upgrade bottom doesn't fit. That top is still in its original box.
