Re: Shrinkit.Exe
> Ground's useful.stuff folder
ftp://ground.ecn.uiowa.edu/2/apple2/useful.stuff/ includes the current 8-bit
ShrinkIt (v3.4) as a binscii (.bsc) file.
Thanks, Rubywand. I got the EXEC (text file) version of Shrinkit from
Compuserve. It is a text file executable from AppleSoft BASIC. I think more
people have Basic than have Binscii, and a text file holds up better if you
have to transfer from another platform to get it to the Apple II. It includes
docs in the archive.
Though it may be the "old" way, I feel it is the easiest way out of the
dilemma, "How do I get Shrinkit if I don't already have Shrinkit?". I don't
know why it isn't more widely available on the web, unless there is some
restriction I am not aware of... ?
It's up on my web site now. It works for me, even when transferring from the PC
to the Apple. Thanks.
