My II+ had an internal fan when I bought it that got power from the auxilary video output connector. This connector has +12V and -5V. I wonder if the particular fan I had actually did any cooling or just stirred up the air and added its own heat to the total. I soon acqired an external system saver that I thought did a real job of cooling and removed the internal.
