David, I have the same problem and I don't think there is a solution.
What version of ProDOS is booting? I thought mine booted 2.0.3 but it
might be 2.0.1. I never used AppleShare2, I started with 3.0 and upgraded
to v3.0.3. I used the Apple II setup disk that works with version 6.0.1
(Apple II Setup 3.0).
Although I am not positive, I believe Appleshare boots ProDOS from the
'Apple //e Boot Blocks' file in the Mac System folder. I don't know how
to replace this ProDOS image, but I wish I could. My problem was trying
to update the ProDOS clock driver code for the next 7 year cycle. I put
updated p8 and ProDOS files in the (Mac) System Folder, in the root
directory, in the GS System folder, in the Users folder, etc. to no avail.
So I resorted to writing a small binary program that patches the year
table for ProDOS in memory. This small pgm is run everytime I boot a IIe
from the network. Kludgy, but it works.
Please let us know if you can find and manipulate the ProDOS image.
I guess part of my reasoning for suspecting the Boot Blocks file is the
fact that ProDOS16 has a Boot Blocks file and ProDOS16 Image file. There
is no ProDOS or p8 image file, but it could fit into the Boot Blocks file,
based on file size.
Good luck!
