It is theoretically possible to transfer an Apple program from a PC to an
Apple II without anything running on the Apple end. You would need to write
a simple program for the PC to send a transfer program out the audio port
through a regular audio cable to the Apple's cassette port. On the Apple,
you just load from tape (I forget the load command in the monitor, but it's
just one small line to type). Once you have that program over, you run it
and use the regular serial transfer. Check your copy of the Apple II
Reference Manual for details. :-)
