     According to earlier posts, a very simple cable is required. Below is such a
cable.

View is looking into the cable connector/plug at the pins.

Male Mini-Din 8        Male Dsub-9M

   6  7  8           01 02 03 04 05
   3 4   5            06 07 08 09
    1  2

Signal Discription    Mini-Din 8    Dsub-9M

 TD  (Transmit Data)     3     --->    3
 RD  (Receive Data)      5     <---    2
 GND (Ground)            4     ----    5

     When I tried out ADT with our IIc+, it was with a regular (non-hi-speed)
modem cable going to a NULL modem connector which connected to a modem cable going
to the PC.

     The above cable is a simplified version with the NULL modem signal swap built
in. I've never actually tried it with ADT; in fact, I do not know that it will
work at all on a IIgs; so, be sure to post your results.

     It may help to know that the initial ADT transfer must be at the recommended
300 baud (i.e. slow). Once ADT is installed on the Apple II and you are doing
real transfers, the PC part of ADT (Adt.exe) needs to run under DOS.
