setting jumpers on GS memory board
I recently acquired a ROM 01 GS. It includes a memory board that
has 256 kb soldered on and 24 empty sockets. It also includes two
jumper locations on the board toward the front of the machine.
The jumper pins are not perpendicular to the board. The top pair
make a right angle bend up and the bottom pair make a right angle
bend down.
I have no documentation and all I know about GSs comes from playing
with the Bernie emulator.
If I add more memory, do I need to configure the jumpers? The top
row of memory is labeled A1 through A16 (1 through 8 are filled)
and the bottom row is labeled B1 through B16. Does it matter where
additional memory is placed if the board is not fully occupied?
