After it was canceled, a letter from Tom W. of Resource
Central/Open Apple was published in various sources
discussing why.  Since RC was the sole distrubutor of
CirTech's stuff, he probably had a clue about it.
 
To Wit:
1) The rom chips were pilfered from used macintoshes
2) The emergence of low cost macinstoshes was a major
 factor
3) It would be rather expensive - not much cheaper than
 buying the inexpensive macs.
4) It ran in a window, and would need to be scrolled because
of the low GS screen resolution.
