Toward the end of the line, Apple only sold the grey Plus style mouse for
use with IIs. So some kind will necessarily work. Long time II users will
recall that the original Applemouse II differed from Mac style mice of the
period. They had a bigger button and it was the same color as the rest of
the mouse. Mac mice, whether grey or beige, have the button a darker shade
than the rest.
