	The quickest way is to pick up an external modem and a modem cable. If
the modem is faster than 2400 baud then you should get a Mac hardware
handshaking cable. You also need some terminal software like Proterm or
Spectrum to connect (unless you want to write your own).

	There are other ways such as if you have a linux box set up and already
connected... You could use a nullmodem cable and terminal program to
connect the two. The TCP program mentioned by supertimer is also valid. 

	There are lots of ways to connect. Only a few are realistic. ;-) I
doubt if you have the time or cash to create special devices and
software for this purpose (although it IS a possibility). Still there
are plenty of realistic ways of connecting.
