Not really since the flavor of BASIC built in is the only difference. The
difference between a //c and //c plus is about the same as a ROM 01 and ROM
3 IIgs but everyone calls those the same.

This may come as a shock, but iMacs aren't meant for everyone. The first time
buyer starting from scratch is who it's intended for, rendering all this
ballyhoo about recycling old peripherals moot. I certainly would not buy
an iMac. If I were to shop for a new box now, it'd be a G3 with a SCSI card
and fire wire. They have both USB and ADB by the way.

There is the concept of a product line ya know. Cheap boxes with limited 
expansion along with more pricey and expandable models. Kinda like when Apple
sold //e's, //c's, and IIgses all at once. Remember?
