I am not going to argue about any of this; the ONLY OFFICIAL statement from
Glen is contained in my OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT.  The comments Glen made to you
are in response to an E-Mail message you sent to him and are not the OFFICIAL
Public Domain Announcement.

If you wish to upload earlier versions of ProSel-16 and/or ProSel 8, on the
technicality, we cannot stop you, but users have the right to the most current
version of the program and Glen has the right to be associated with the most
bug free, which means the most current version of the program.  If you release
earlier versions, you gain the reputation of Damn it all, I don't care.  So be
it; its up to you.

And I don't care who provides the program(s) after this, but if you want it on
disk from me, its $10.

Get your story straight; I am quoting above from what you posted and Glen did
NOT say that there are no Y2K issues with ProSel-16 or ProSel 8.  He said he
was not aware of any, though he had been told (by me) that there were.  He also
says that ANYBODY can patch and distribute the work.

Glen did NOT say that you can upload any version of ProSel-16 or ProSel 8; he
did not state any restrictions on uploading older versions.  He said to ask
Charlie Newby (thats me) what the latest versions are.  

The only reason I placed restrictions on uploading ONLY the most current
versions was to protect Glen's reputation for the most bug free programs and to
protect unsuspecting users from downloading and using out of date versions. 
THERE ARE REASONS why v8.83 was updated to v8.84 and it had to do with SYSTEM
6.0.1 which came out just after 8.83 was released.

As I said at the beginning of this message; I have presented my expectations
and will not argue any point, nor change any point in the announcement.  The
announcement was shared with Glen last night and he made NO changes.

Putting these programs in the Public Domain was my way of keeping theprograms
alive; I wonder if I should have just left them on my shelf.

Go argue with someone else.
