If it isn't a Disk Copy or high density/double density issue then try the
following:
For a disk that will boot into BASIC you need the files BASIC.System and the
file P8 from the SYSTEM folder of the 6.0.1 boot disk. Copy both of these
files onto a blank, formatted disk. Then (very important) rename the file P8
on the floppy to PRODOS. The disk should now boot.
The PRODOS file that's in the root directory of the 6.0.1 boot disk is not
really the PRODOS 8 operating system file, but a load file used to boot GS/OS.
