Bootable BASIC disk...

I just bought a IIgs (ROM rev1), and I would like to use it for one
thing and one thing only, to program in BASIC.  I've downloaded system
6.0.1 from Apple and tried to use Disk Copy to create a version of the
System.Disk, which has ProDOS and BASIC.System, but my IIgs refuses to
boot of of this (it says that ProDOS cannot be found, but it's there).
Could someone please help me, or send me a disk image of a disk that you
are using to boot and use basic on your IIgs?  Thanks, any help will be
greatly appreciated.
