you are correct. last night, after i upgraded my Serius card to 8MB
(<evil grin>), i tried the AWGS problem again. yes, the program works
properly when booting from the AWGS System Disk. several people (Jim
Pittman, Supertimer, Tony Diaz, many others! <g>) all filled me in on the
fact that AWGS 1.0 doesn't like GS/OS. (Supertimer mentioned the reason
why, though. the S16 vs GS/OS thing is interesting to know...)

Tony Diaz tells me that AWGS v1.1 is indeed available through allelec.com,
at $15. the only trick is that there's a $25 minimum (before shipping).
8\ that's okay, though. i'll see if there's anything else there that i
need that can bring me closer to the minimum....  (don't need floppies;
i've got more than i know what to do with! <g>)

that's the status; y'all know what i know now. (that's supposed to be a
good thing...  <g>)

i'll be ordering the AWGS 1.1 from Tony soon, so i believe that will take
care of my problem. :) my thanks to all that helped!
