Bev,
It does sound a bit scatter-brained in content for your reply from Debbie. But
I can understand Apple being a bit confused with the name AppleWorks being
mentioned - be it classic AppleWorks or otherwise - as they now have the former
ClarisWorks named AppleWorks.  Their reply seems they were trying to make as
sensible of a reply to you as possible.  I'd suggest a follow-up reply from you
to clarify things a bit more - in the hope they might perhaps see the light and
reclassify Classic AppleWorks v1.0 thru v3.0 and up :) as freeware.  I see no
reason why they shouldn't.

I wanted to see them repelase Gus as freeware and wrote them the following
feedback to which I received the following reply - that I considered as a
favorable response.

Please release it as FREEWARE.  It's one of the few PPC applications Apple has

Well Bev,
That's the full and exact context of my feedback to them and their email reply
to me. And, to me it sounds like somebody in some level of management power and
auithority will get the message and act accordingly (vague as their reply may
seem to others)  IMHO, with Apple - sometimes large numbers and support logic
from their users may work miracles - then again perhaps not.  But, what harm
does it do to try?
