Well, Tom, I did as you suggested and wrote to the Apple complaint department
about getting them to release Classic AppleWorks for the Apple IIe, IIc, and
IIGS as freeware or system software. Today I got this reply:

to: http://asu.info.apple.com/

you can find the software by using the search option or browse an alphabetical
listing or the http directories.
 
If the software is not available online it may be available through the
Original System Software Fulfillment.  To find complete information, please see
