It seems they should really be selling the 5.25 drives too!

Have you submitted any Apple II software to the SPS project? I don't
see any listed, and their criteria is quite strict: no high-score
saves basically means expensive NIB "mint" disks only.


I was a little put off by their strictness, and attitude about opening
their firmware... "not to sound arrogant, but you could only make it
worse..."  While I appreciate the technology, and it is needed - but
what we also need is the ability to process the output of the device.
Producing .dsk and .po images aren't an improvement over the FC5025 or
a real Disk ][, for that matter.  And nobody can actually _do_
anything with the raw output yet besides submit it to them, with which
they will do... what, exactly?  I guess I just need to keep quiet and
wait for write capability.

The irony of "copy-protecting" their techniques is interesting...  ;-)
